Commentaire
This act is a severe violation of the norms governing the separation of provincial and municipal powers. It is the municipality's responsibility and right to design throughways. This act will have a chilling effect on municipalities ability to design streets, and sets a dangerous precedent that the provincial government is permitted to meddle in municipal affairs. The decisions of the municipality should be governed by the electorate of the municipality, not the electorate of the province.
