I fail to see how the responsibility of bike lanes falls on the provincial government. You're telling me that municipalities don't have the ability to audit they own traffic and decide what's best for the city? Who does city planning, the city or the province?

The Ontario Premier coming out and blatantly calling out numerous streets that need bike lanes removed before anything has been passed or analyzed is frankly insulting.

As a Canadian, I strive to have a city that is more walkable, offers alternative means of transportation, commute on a bicycle safely and encourages others to be active.

I fail to see how provincial money should be spent on this issue considering city planning does not.

Not only is this a waste of tax payer money, considering the multitude of actual issues in our province but also fails to follow any of the data.

I could link 100s of studies and reports of bike lanes easing traffic woes, hence why so many cities implement them. NYC, european cities with small roads/congestion issues.

Cycling is accessible to those who are lower income, and bike lanes provide a safe place to commute.
