Studies show that bike lanes reduce gridlock, emissions and travel time.
The University bike lanes were lobbied for by hospitals to provide safe transport for hospital workers
I commute daily and year round on the Bloor West bike lane and have never once seen a fire truck or ambulance held up.
Removal of these safe lanes will result in deaths. It's worth noting that if a cyclist feels cars can not pass safely the advice is to take the entire lane... now THAT will hold things up
