This is a horrible step backwards. As someone who both cycles and drives, we should not be encouraging more driving with more highways and wider roads and should instead be investing in green forward infrastructure such as transit that works and cycling lanes. This government is taking us backwards and should not have the power to reverse the progress we’ve made in recent years. Especially during a climate crisis.
