This proposed legislation represented an egregious jurisdictional overreach on the part of the provincial government. Toronto city council has jurisdiction over the municipal road infrastructure, and the duly-elected members of city council have made decisions regarding bike lanes. Their decisions should NOT be overridden by another level of government. Doug Ford ran for mayor of Toronto, and LOST. He should stay in his lane.
