This is a gross overreach by the province, and a hypocritical waste of tax dollars to remove infrastructure that is already in place (and working for people who need it).

More bikes is the future, not fewer. Incentivizing non-automobile traffic is the only feasible way to reduce gridlock in an increasingly dense area. More lanes for cars has never worked to reduce gridlock, and removing safe lanes for people choosing alternatives to cars and buses will do the opposite.

Start making some actual policy that helps people instead of meddling in municipal affairs, and costing cities and taxpayers more money to deliver worse solutions.
