Bike lanes not only make cycling safer, but they create an alternative route for community for thousands for people. Without bike lanes, traffic gets worse and biking becomes more dangerous.
Instead of removing bike lanes and limiting when and where they can go, we should in incentivizing the building of more bike lanes, especially protected bike lanes. This will mean more cyclists can get to and from their destinations safely without needing to put more cars on the road.
