This is a ridiculous proposal. Bike lanes are clearly a public good, which is why every other leading city in the world is working to make active transportation better. We should be looking to cities that people want to live in - Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich for example - for inspiration. The changes proposed by this bill send Toronto in the wrong direction. This is the kind of moment that people will look back on in 50-75 years and comment “what were they thinking??”. We should aim to have better ways to live in our city, not worse.
