Bike lanes on major streets like Bloor, Yonge, and University have made cycling safer, reduced traffic congestion, and encouraged more sustainable forms of transportation. Removing them not only jeopardizes the safety of cyclists but also takes us backward in our efforts to address climate change and build a more livable city. Decisions about bike lanes should remain in the hands of local governments who understand the unique needs of their communities—not dictated by the province.
