Getting rid of the bike…

Commentaire

Getting rid of the bike lanes is dangerous and impractical.

When Vision Zero and the Bloor Street Pilot projects launched, we saw a notable spike in both usage of the lanes, as well as safety for cyclists.
Emergency response times increased because there was additional room for cars to pull over and leave space for emergency vehicles.

Getting rid of these lanes puts many lives at risk. Cyclists are concidered 'vulnerable pedestrians' in the eyes of the city, and removing a very important safety net they have is, again, dangerous and impractical.
