Please do not allow this permit. It flies in the face of years of efforts by environmental activists and by the City to separate and replace combined sewers because they are bad for the environment and for people’s health. The whole project is being imposed on a city that did not ask for it or want it, and the entire province will have to pay for it. The government has not been transparent about why we have to pay so much for such a long lease to a foreign company - and now we find out it breaks with environmental and health standards for waterfronts. The new Ontario Place Spa will have nothing to do with Ontario except that every Ontarian will have to pay for it.
