Good Day
I am a very concerned citizen who lives in the town of Dresden in which this proposal will affect myself and the community of this amazing small town in southern Ontario. This is a very prosperous farming community which supplies food products for North America. This town has been one of the top contributors for the Terry Fox foundation which this year we will have raised over a million dollars for the foundation. This town has a strong history of the Underground Railroad. This community and land is extremely fertile, which I believe we are one of the largest producers of corn, beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and experimenting with growing a variety of rice. We have 2 schools in this community.
This small town also boasts the best night market in which the Main Street and side streets are closed for this market which is held summer and winter time, there are vendors on waiting lists to be able to set up at this market. We have business here that rely on travellers that come through.
Our river has numerous number of fish reptiles and insects that are near to extinction that live in the river which goes through our town, and you guys feel that it is not necessary for a Environmental Assessment to remove it, you need to look closely to what you will be doing to OUR Environment within our community and the future of our country if this is aloud. That means that waste disposal companies can set up where ever they can and destroy the environment, communities where ever they please. Listen EA’s extremely important not just for our community DRESDEN Ontario. I have lived in this community all my life I have seen the good and the bad and recently I’m extremely disappointed in our government they have no respect for our community and surrounding area. I’m asking you to actually do your research and look closely at the damage that will be done and will not be able to be reversed if you allow this proposal to happen yes I am just one small voice but seriously people you need to realize that money doesn’t always talk and unfortunately I guess you like to have your hands out and feel that’s more important than your Environment.
