I am not in favour of the Dump being situated so close to Dresden.
As mentioned numerous times, there are so many factors that support my thoughts about it.
Definitely a complete Environmental Assessment should remain before dump action begins.
Along with ongoing Pollution with Air, Land and Water, Safety concerns, Noise, added Health Issues with an already strained system, Major traffic increase, Destruction of the road system, Agricultural issues with polluted land and products produced, house and business Depreciation etc, what about human existence in the rural country side, rural villages and towns. Are people not important !
Who is going to want to live in Chatham-Kent but Dresden especially with the added smell the Dump leaves in the air. Summer and Winter Markets will go, local horse races in the Summer, Events sponsored by local clubs such as Easter Hunts, Soccer, Baseball for the children of Dresden and surrounding area. bus trips to see the local museum that has historical significance.
People that have lived in a big city all their lives will never know what it is like to live in a small town.
It has many good memories as a people care for one another. Something you can only see and feel if you have lived in a small rural town.
With all the factors against the dump, I can only see destruction and pollution with water, land, air and a happy life in Dresden.
We already have a dump in Chatham-Kent, we do not need another Dump !
We need a complete Environment Assessment ! Keep the Garbage in your back yard !
