Dresden does not want the York 1 landfill and are not going to let the money given to the Ford government from them devastate our town for their gain. Dresden needs a full environmental assessment and also to move this landfill site to somewhere that is not less than 1km from the edge of town with schools and businesses like this site is. How did this even get by the first signature ??? This was NEVER a Dump site as only used for fly ash.

The threat of leachate alone, a toxic liquid that seeps through waste materials will compromise our water supply. There will NEVER be a safety guarantee for any of us ,especially when residents, businesses and our schools are in close proximity.

It affects plant growth,and reduces crop yields, agricultural quality and we are a strong farming community.

This is our livelihoods and we need the government to protect it.

Infiltrates to the soil can cause decreased fertility, soil erosion and the organic compounds release hazardous air pollutants.

The 24/hr machinery alone will worsen our air quality with dust and 700 trucks daily will destroy our roads needed for trucking crops and the safety of our children riding buses every day. We can’t tolerate this ridiculous plan in this space. Why isn’t something being done to protect us ?? Would you want your children and future generations to deal with all this destruction and threat to their health and lives.

This is your responsibility to help our town of Dresden protect what has always been filled with strong community spirit and pride
