This proposal is undemocratic and against the best interests of Ontarians and, as a result, I am writing to object in the strongest possible way to the proposed exemptions from the Environmental Bill of Rights that will remove the right of Ontarians to be advised of, or to comment on, any required permits at Ontario Place, on or off site, to support the project.

The citizens of Ontario must be confident that any development, particularly one that impacts a sensitive waterfront ecosystem like Ontario Place, is done transparently with the ability to review and provide comment on the proposal to ensure the interests of the people are kept foremost in mind and that the environment is not compromised to benefit a foreign company.
