The function of government is to ensure the well-being of its citizens.
Streamlining the approval and permitting for mining projects does not achieve this function. Removing the requirements for approval by Ministries that specialize in the effects of mining and resource extraction activities, and especially removing the requirement for Indigenous People's review and approval will result in irreparable harm.
Do not pass this legislation.
