I writing today because I am strongly against this bill. For one, by passing this bill you are not only disrespecting the treaties made with the First Nations of this territory, further drawing a wedge between them and the government, but you are also disrespecting the environment and stripping the endangered species law that protects fish, birds and animals in the area. Furthermore, you may come across sensitive heritage sites, and destroying those without further study will cause a further disconnect from the history of Canada.
Lastly, this could also cause a loss of jobs for those in archaeology.
Therefore, I strongly encourage the revision of this bill!
