It's overdue that this land be put to use for housing. It would make an excellent location for affordable housing and could help alleviate the housing crisis that is affecting the city's most vulnerable citizens.

CN Rail has been the primary obstacle here, and their opposition needs to be ignored or overridden. Housing is needed and that takes priority over their stalling and refusal to engage in good faith negotiations.

My only concern is ensuring that the development is completed in a timely and high-quality manner, and that this development and its viability for the city is not compromised by developers who focus more on squeezing profits than making an investment and creating a solution that is fair to residents first, profiteering second.
