I fully support the amendment to add climbing as a permitted use in the part and the proposed regulations. Climbing in Devils Glen is a long established use & brings tourist dollars to the surrounding communities, as well as awareness of the area as a tourist and lifestyle destination. Climbing introduces people to nature & is a healthy way to enjoy the outdoors.

These proposed regulations provide a balance of protecting the natural heritage systems in the park, with the use of the park as a climbing destination & I wholeheartedly support them.

Investment in additional and expanded parking areas (as proposed) will also reduce conflicts & enhancing the trail system to link up an expanded parking area with climbing areas is a prudent and desirable improvement. If possible consideration should be given to adding composting toilets at the trailhead.

I very much support the emphasis in the Managment plan in working with the local climbing community to develop site specific responses to issues as they arise & wholeheartedly support adding climbing as a permitted use to the management plan for Deveils Glen, as well as the new proposed regulations as drafted to regulate and manage climbing in the area.
