I'd like to advocate for…

I'd like to advocate for climbing access to be formalized at Devils Glen. Our access to rock climbing in Ontario has been one of the things that helps keep me anchored to Ontario as a province. As a Product Manager for software I am a key part of the growth of this province but the continuing challenges in access to recreate outside have made me consider moving to another province. Luckily we do have some access to climbing in the province still, so I've been sticking around. The climbing in Devil's Glen is beautiful and serene, and I am convinced we have a very low impact on nature while we are there enjoying our favourite sport!

The other side benefit of climbing in Ontario is it drives tourism in some of the less frequently traveled parts of our province. I've spent $1000s of dollars on cabin rentals, restaurants, and gas in the area of Devils Glen to be closer to the climbing there, and I know 100s of climbers who do the same. Our sport is helping support these small beautiful communities.
