I would love to have rock climbing approved in the park. But I'd also like to call out a certain individual who lives in the area and despises sharing a provincial park with any climbers. He has been going around mutilating safety gear belonging to the public, filling access to the park with obstacles, which also destroys nature, as well as going as far as stalking climbers who are just trying to enjoy their time at the park.
They also frequently spread misinformation such as parking provincial park properties as private properties, or making false complaints to park rangers on how climbers miraculously found a path and trespassed on to their property from the park, which wasted rangers hours of their time going around the park trying to figure out how someone found a path to the their properties.
They also frequently print flyers with false information on how damaging rock climbing is and leave them on people's dashboards. The flyers are so obvious that they are not from the government as it was full of misspells and grammar mistakes.
I am not asking for Ontario Parks to apprehend them or anything. But the approval of rock climbing, as well as welcoming more recreational usage to the park will highly discourage any further misdemeanours from these miserable locals who act entitled to own and not share a public provincial park.
