I already wrote to my MPP…

I already wrote to my MPP about this dangerous relaxing of protections for at-risk and endangered species and received a reply that was completely ignorant of the content of the Bill. I replied back with specific challenging questions complete with links to relevant information and never received a reply to that.
The Endangered Species Act should only be modified by organizations motivated and educated to protect the ecological web we are a part of, and the species which are vulnerable, not by people interested in making money and doing it quickly.
Birds in particular have enough challenges to contend with, and they all need our help, especially those classified as at-risk or endangered. We are at a point where we could cause a complete ecological collapse if we don’t move forward carefully. It won’t matter how many houses or industries you build if there is no food to eat, no clean water to drink, etc.
Bill 5 is irresponsible. Leave the Endangered Species Act alone.
