I do not believe that the government should be putting economic growth before ecological integrity. Canada has some of the most endangered ecosystems across the globe, and its citizens want to see them protected. It is not right for the government to overturn and ignore scientific research for monetary gain. We need to protect our threatened species because once they are gone, we cannot get them back. Your children, and the children of all Canadians are relying on YOU to protect the country we love, not destroy everything that lives in it. This legislation, if passed, would put already vulnerable species in peril, and allow corporate greed to pave over globally imperilled ecosystems. Canadians want to preserve our beautiful biodiversity, not endanger it further.
