I oppose this legislation. Speeding up development may short term help battle tariffs - but long term it’s damaging the environment and species we can’t get back. Allowing appropriate development to proceed while protecting species at risk is essential. Both are possible. The whole reason permits and building takes so long is so that hasty, shoddy, damaging developments can’t ruin the environment in order for a few developers to get rich(er) faster.
