I oppose this bill because it weakens protections for Ontario’s vulnerable species and reduces accountability in environmental decision-making. By removing many species from legal protection and limiting public oversight, the proposal risks irreversible harm to our ecosystems. Ontario should be strengthening, not dismantling, safeguards that preserve biodiversity and protect our natural heritage for future generations.
