I'm appalled at the protections , Bill 5 has removed

Habitat protections for all species are limited to the dwelling place and immediate surroundings -- we know that this is not what birds and animals need.

We also know that with the removal of all provincial protections for 35 birds that are on the federal species at risk list or assessed as special concern, we will lose more birds, and more species.

I believe your job as the government is to protect at-risk birds.

I want you to make significant investments in programs to protect and recover Ontario’s birds and their habitats, and wild animals and their habitats.

I want you to take responsibility for the recovery of at-risk birds.

For all our sake -- and for the sake of your children and grandchildren. Please don't be short sighted in this.
