This act is wildly disrespectful of the people of Ontario and its natural systems that sustain all of us. In difficult economic times parasitic corporations and governments descend to overrule scientific evidence and the needs of everyday people. I will not quietly sit by and watch more environmental regulations stripped by our government during an environmental collapse. We need to be caretakers of our ecosystems in line with scientific recommendations. As an older Gen Z person I have grown up with the damocles sword of climate change above my head and I have watched politicians and the elite capitalist class prioritize immediate profits over our future. The betrayal cannot continue.
