I strongly oppose the proposed consolidation of Ontario’s conservation authorities into seven regional bodies. This plan is deeply flawed, risks public safety and environmental protection, and will undermine decades of locally grounded watershed stewardship.

This proposal puts short-term administrative reorganization ahead of public safety, sound watershed science, and community stewardship. Do not dismantle the local structures that protect our watersheds and communities. Preserve local conservation authorities and pursue collaborative, accountable improvements that do not sacrifice local expertise or responsiveness.
