As a Canadian living in rural Ontario, I do not want to see decisions made on rural land by uninformed urbanites. I do not want to see any amalgamation, period. The ideas speak of cost savings but end up with massive growing and expensive bureacracy that cannot make decisions intelligently and rely on over paid consultants. No!
