I do not support the proposal to merge Ontario’s conservation authorities, including the RRCA. The RRCA provides strong, community-focused environmental services that rely on local knowledge, local representation, and close municipal partnerships.

Consolidating multiple authorities into one large regional body risks weakening service delivery, reducing responsiveness to local issues, and diminishing local voices in watershed management.

I urge the Province to maintain locally governed conservation authorities and avoid restructuring that could negatively impact environmental protection and community needs.
