I am concerned about the amalgamation of Ontario’s conservation authorities. I have had dealings with our local authority in Sault Ste Marie and they were knowledgeable and aware the particularities of the conservation land adjacent to our property. I don’t believe that non local authorities will be as invested in their protection and as knowledgeable about the management of these protected parcels of land. The dedicated employees of the local authorities jobs should also be protected as they are the experts and stewards of these important green spaces.
