This is a very bad idea. Again rural areas will be swallowed by urban interests . Does government not understand rural? Farmers feed cities. CA’s help people, farmers , give them guidance, plant trees. The CA’s work hard in our communities. The funding for the CA’s come from our communities. Our board is made up of people from our communities. The model that is presented, makes no sense to serve our community. The larger CA’s are the winners. Our money will benefit them. Instead of ramming this down our throats, engage in meaningful , thoughtful discussions. The provincial government has cut back money, for years. This government has shown, it absolutely hates conservation authorities and given them no support. Our county has stepped up to work with CA’s in our area , to bring in other programs.
