As a resident of Thunder Bay…

As a resident of Thunder Bay and with property in Gorham Township that includes Lakehead Region Conservation Authority (LRCA) properties I am strongly OPPOSED to the Province’s proposed amalgamation of the LRCA with six other Southern Ontario Conservation Authorities to form the “Huron-Superior Regional Conservation Authority”. I support LRCA’s recommendation that the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority form a stand-alone regional conservation authority as the “Northwestern Ontario Regional Conservation Authority”.

It is critical for citizens such as myself who live in this region of northern Ontario to have a local conservation authority that will be effective in stewardship of several important properties, including two that I frequently regularly in Gorham Township. One large conservation authority that is located in Southern Ontario will be entirely ineffective in addressing our local issues. I strong urge you to support the LRCA's recommendation as supported by myself and many other local residents.
