I am a citizen of Thunder Bay and volunteer with the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority. I am deeply concerned about the proposal to merge our beloved, accountable and incredibly effective LRCA with the Huron - Superior Regional CA. Your map says it all. LRCA, being isolated by close to one thousand kilometers from the south will be lost within the larger southern unit and broader Regional CA. While the merger of several close and similar CA's seems practical as a whole, I don't see how merging vastly different watersheds and ecosystems makes any sense. LRCA should remain as is.
