I am very concerned with the expansive area that will be made with consolidating the Conservation areas. I can't help but think this is adding another area of bureaucracy. Where would local people with concerns go to consult regarding issues? I would think it would be even more difficult to have a timely answer regarding issues.
Having lived in many of the areas that would be under this new conservation authority, they are vastly different with different issues. Is this change of plan to further intensify development?
There needs to be A LOT more dialogue before (and if) it's proven that this change would indeed be helpful to the environment, and not just developers!
