I would like to register my deep concern about this proposal. I do not think it's necessary to amalgamate CAs into a smaller number of them, and I do not believe that it will improve front-line service delivery to better serve communities. As well, I find the ambiguity of this phrase alarming: "better align the work of CAs with provincial priorities."

Local concerns, such as flood mitigation and health of groundwater should continue to be the focus of CAs. That is best done through the CAs that we currently have, as they have a better focus on local water issues than amalgamated CAs with larger jurisdictions would. Please do no go ahead with this proposal.
