The Town of Oakville has capable councillors and leadership who are able to decide what will and will not work for our community. Unless there is provincial investment in a new north/south artery in Oakville at 6th or 8th line, this proposal makes no sense. It currently takes almost 20 minutes to go from the GO station to Upper Middle on Trafalgar and this density will only make that worse.
The quality of life for current residents will suffer if the density is approved as it is presented. Our Town is aware of the lack of affordable housing and the need to develop the core near the GO and the province should let us make the decisions that will maintain or improve the well-being of current residents as well as welcome new ones.
