I support the HCAs opposition to the proposed change. I believe decisions in regards to HCA conservation areas should stay within the community. Decisions of other conservation authorities should be made by their respective communities. HCAs suggestion of higher and tighter provincial standards could certainly iron out some of the efficiency issues while leaving management of conservation areas in the hands of local/regional municipalities.
