Existing RCAs are democratic, locally-serving and scientifically defensible. The new bill is not. No need for these changes; they do not reflect popular opinion nor can the present government legitimately argue that they had/have/or will have a mandate for this form of top-down governance. Like the bill to implement strong Mayor structures on municipalities it reflects a wrong-headed approach to solving the many problems Ontario faces.
