The conservation authority…

The conservation authority has been a source of education and assistance to help reduce erosion, wind, and water control on our small farm. They have boots on the ground in the communities they serve, and they know the solutions that work and don't work. This proposal will take away the most fundamental part of these authorities: they are members of our community with our interests at heart. Please reconsider this plan and ensure the conservation authorities have the tools they need to mitigate flood risks, reduce erosion, and remove invasive species and weeds in our communities and farm lands. The work they do protecting species at risk ensures that my grandchildren will one day glory at lifting a rock and finding a skink. While I understand the need to allow private industry to thrive, businesses don't have ethics; people do. I hope you all do too and make the right decision.
