I agree with Hamilton Conservation Authority's submission to the ERO. I am concerned about losing local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community.
Local conservation authorities are better able to understand smaller details particular to their local ecosystems and make decisions accordingly. Having a larger system will lose the nuance necessary to this particular type of work.
