As a Northern resident living in the Timmins area I don't believe we should be amalgamated with Sudbury, North Bay and the Sault to create the NorthEast region.

We should be able to remain individual since this is what works up north and given the unique artic watershed in Timmins. You are proposing to pair communities that are 4 hours away from eachother which you are proposing for southern communities.

In your own words:
"The plan to consolidate the province’s 36 conservation authorities into regional conservation authorities that continue to align with watershed boundaries." Timmins has a watershed boundary that the other communities in the proposed northeastern region do not have and are not familiar with.

Our Mattagami Conservation Authority does a great job at taking care of Timmins and area and I would hate for the upkeep that they do to decline now that we may have to share conservation resources with other municipalities that are so far away from us.
We have had to share resources such as healthcare with Sudbury and it does not serve us. Health disparities still exist due to bigger communities getting more money despite our service area being larger. Consider that and the waterways.

Please consider keeping the 4 northeastern communities separate. Instead of 36 to 7 consider 36 to 10 regions.
