I am highly concerned about this proposal. Context is incredibly important for conservation issues and time and time again, we’ve seen how humans try to simplify and amalgamate, and how communities get lost in the process. At this time of climate change, particularly, it’s highly important that we understand the changes in our environment at a granular level and that’s where local voices and knowledge make such a difference.
