On behalf of our organization, Ontario Trails Council Inc., which supports and promotes a
high-quality network of motorized and non-motorized recreational trails throughout Ontario, we would
like to share our perspective on the proposed consolidation of regional conservation authorities.

Our work depends on close collaboration with the public that uses recreational trails in all 36 conservation authorities, while supporting the managers who balance trail activity with the protection of watersheds by conducting regular monitoring of trail quality, watershed conditions, and ecological sensitivities across our province.
