Part of this proposed area is part of the Haldimand treaty and is land that belongs to Six Nations. Six miles each side of the Grand River. Nothing can be done with these lands without appropriate consultation with the bands of Six Nations as per long standing treaty agreements. It seems Doug Ford is again careless and ignorant of the treaties for the lands that belong to the first peoples of this country that long outdate Canada's nationhood.
