I believe that this is a bad idea. I think its better to have smaller CAs, although the points given as reasoning for the consolidation make sense. Although home building is certainly a concern for most people living in Ontario, I think many people would agree that things are being slowed down by municipalities and cities, not conservation authorities (at least where I live in South Nation area).

I think its better to have local people managing local resources, rather than big provincial bodies. Perhaps an alternative solution could be found, like providing timelines and pricing structures that CAs must follow or suffer reduced provincial funding?
