As a four season user of Hiawatha Highlands I oppose consolidation of our conservation authority into a larger group. Local control makes use of the historic knowledge of this area and the longstanding tradition of volunteerism that led to the development and ongoing maintenance of the extensive trail system in Hiawatha. This is unique to Sault Ste Marie and will suffer by moving to a larger authority.
