I cannot state strongly enough how short sighted and detrimental this proposal will be for the people of Ontario. We need more environmental protection, not less, and we need local people on the ground who are familiar with the needs of our diverse watersheds and natural areas. This proposal will result in false economies and cost us jobs. We cannot simply force this kind of change in the name of progress when it will only set us back.
