My concern for this proposal is the size of the 7 new conservation authorities. It is less likely the local knowledge of the areas will be taken into account when important decisions are made. This could result in environmental harms and the possibility of increased flooding. I feel that the present local conservation authorities use their local expertise to protect us against flooding and safeguard our water.
