I am outraged at the provinces plans for the Oakville midtown. The plan totally disregards the interests and careful planning that the town, working with citizens, did to design a liveable, workable plan to develop the area. The provinces' plan stinks of closed door corruption and misuse of provincial powers. Furthermore, it plans for ridiculous density that would make midtown horrendous for those that live in that area and anyone who needs access to Oakville. It also will not address the housing crisis as the majority of the unit are high rise studio and one bedroom condos, which no one wants. Condo market has collapsed or a reason!! And this plan doesn't even start for 5 years. How is that addressing current housing needs?
